Your app will send you notifications if there is a trouble condition on your system such as a low battery alert or a loss of supervision. The notifications are saved so that you have a history of the events.

ZeroWire - Alerts & Beeping

The two most frequent alerts that you will see on your ZeroWire display are Loss of Communication and Tamper alerts. Another alert that you can receive is a Low Battery alert.

Alerts present themselves as loud beeping from the panel and are represented by a red information icon. The alert will clear itself once the reason for the alert has been resolved. To see what type of alert your system is experiencing, simply tap the information icon or view in details from the UltraSync+ app. By press disarmed, the alert will be considered Acknowledged and the beeping will discontinued.

Supervision Fault

A Supervision fault alert means the sensor triggering the alert can no longer communicate with your panel. This is most likely caused by the sensor coverage distance to the panel has exceeded limits, reduced, or blocked under certain circumstances.

To resolve the supervision fault, try to trigger (open/close the sensor more than twice) to test the sensor that is sending the alert. The alert will be cleared if the sensor manages to reestablish communication.

If the alert has not been cleared, you will need to chat with Customer Solutions for support.

Control Low Battery

A control low battery alert means that the panel backup battery is low. Check to make sure that your panel is connected to power and that the wall adapter is firmly plugged in. If you have experienced a power outage, the backup battery will keep your system working, but you may get a low battery alert. You can acknowledge the alert to stop the panel from beeping. The control backup battery alert will be restored once the battery is fully recharged.

Sensor Low Battery

Sensor battery average lasts 3-5 years. A low battery alert means that the sensor that is identified in the alert has a low battery and you must replace it. Replacing the batteries for each device is simple. We've created detailed tutorials for each device to teach you how to change the batteries.

Sensor Tamper

A sensor tamper alert simply means that there is something 'tampering' with your sensor. This is most often caused by the cover of the sensor not being returned completely. To clear the alert, go to the sensor that is causing the alert, and correct the issue by closing any gaps in the sensor cover.

If the alerts continue, chat with Customer Solutions for support.

Control Tamper

A panel tamper alert occurs when the Zerowire panel is not completely secured to the backplate. To fix the issue, you will need to perform a visual inspection of the panel to check for any obvious cracks, any wires that may be interfering with the tamper connection or if there are any wires bundled together causing the panel to bulge and set off the tamper alert. Also, check the single screw at the bottom of the panel to make sure it is screwed all the way up.

Please note, if the tamper alert continues and you arm your system, there is the chance that the alarm will sound. If the alerts continue, please chat with Customer Solutions for support.
